How JyotirPath builds a reading

JyotirPath begins with astronomical positions and user-supplied birth or question details, converts those inputs into a sidereal Vedic chart, and then presents traditional interpretive themes. Life-event verification can add personal context, but it does not change the underlying planetary calculation.

Inputs and chart calculation

A Janma Kundli requires date, time, timezone and geographic coordinates. Accuracy depends on those inputs, especially near ascendant, house, nakshatra or day-boundary changes. When birth details are unavailable, a Prashna Kundli uses the time and coordinates of a specific question. Each new Prashna session is calculated separately rather than attached to the natal chart.

Planetary and lunar positions use Astronomy Engine apparent geocentric positions. JyotirPath converts these to a Lahiri/Chitrapaksha-style sidereal framework and applies its regional Panchanga rules. Local almanacs and other software may differ because of ayanamsha, node, house, sunrise or timezone conventions.

Vimshottari Dasha

The Vimshottari cycle is derived from the Moon’s birth nakshatra and its remaining balance. The conventional 120-year sequence runs through Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury. The platform divides a Mahadasha into Antardashas and uses those periods as timing context. Read the dedicated guides to Vimshottari Dasha, Mahadasha and Antardasha.

Interpretation and verification

Traditional meanings are organized into life areas such as career, relationships, family, home, learning and wellbeing. Users can mark recent themes as matching, partly matching or not matching and can add dated events. These responses help tailor the presentation of future guidance; they are not evidence that an event is certain to occur.

Important limitations

Birth-time errors, historical timezone data, uncertain locations and interpretive traditions can materially affect a reading. Forecasts express possibilities and themes, not guarantees. Palm images and layout uploads also depend on image clarity and should not be treated as biometric identification, diagnosis, structural advice or professional assessment.
